BRIN is an institution that has the tasks to conduct integrated research, development, studies, application, as well as inventions and innovations. Under the Deputy for Human Resources of Science and Technology, BRIN organizes capacity building for Indonesian human resources through a development talent management program. One of the programs is under the division of young talent development in the field of research and innovation.
To support the national talent management policy in Indonesia, especially in the pillars of Human Development and Mastery of Science and Technology and to support changes in coaching from primary and secondary education to higher education, BRIN will conduct a competitive award platform. It is designed to find potential talents in the field of research and innovation from the undergraduate and master levels. This platform is called the Indonesia Research and Innovation Fair (IRIFair).
In 2023, IRIFair becomes a platform for a competition called the Scholar Research Competition, which is based on scholars' final project research. This competition will lead to other scouting programs, so that apart from being awarded by research grants, the finalists and winners will also have the opportunity to get self-development programs in the form of research-based learning programs (Degree by Research) and research incentives with the Research Assistant scheme. IRIFair will support direct and continuous National Talent Management for young talents to realize their dreams of becoming researchers and contributing to Indonesia.
